27 April 2009. A few pictures from an unscheduled visit to Leeming Bar station, we were driving down the A1 and traffic was crawling due to an accident so we took refuge in the excellent buffet car on the station. You can see the A1 crossing over the railway line from the platform, so we were able to enjoy tea and cake until the traffic cleared.

13 April 2009. New gallery added, 8 photos from a visit to the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway on Easter Sunday.

6th April 2009. Welcome to Dales Rail Photographic. There may not be much to see here at the moment, but over the coming weeks I plan to share a growing number of pictures of railway-related material centred on the Yorkshire Dales. Using a bit of artistic licence I feel "Dales Rail" can be extended to include the NRM (York) as well as Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the East Lancs Railway. Non-rail features may also occasionally intrude!
